Goodbye to Facebook

This is the time of year I usually take a short break from Facebook, but not this year. Late in 2021 I deactivated my account. Since then my anxiety level has dropped, my worldview has improved, I’m writing more, and my blood pressure is much lower. Unfortunately, I’m no better looking, but there are limits to what any one action can accomplish.

So, after ten years or so, I’m deleting my account. If you want to stay in touch, I’m keeping this website, housemountainviews.com, so blog entries, new books, shows and signings, etc. will all be on there. Also contact info.

Goodbye, Facebook. It’s been an interesting and often stressful ride.

A career working with teenagers on the fringes of society has made me both sensitive to and appreciative of the complexities of character and the struggles, inner and outer, that we all wrestle with in one form or another. My writing emphasizes character development over action, and, as a lifelong Southerner, the rhythms and cadence of the Southeastern United States influence both my spoken and written voice.
